Meet Kevin Murray
How I Work
My reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. I repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. I am confident that with my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a financial professional, I can help people prepare for the future. After years in the business, I have developed an emphasis on educating my clients so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. I feel a commitment to our community.
My approach adds perspective to all I do and can benefit my clients.

Kevin Murray entered the financial services business in 1995 as a stockbroker for Chatfield Dean & Co. in NYC. After only a year there, he was recruited to the global insurance and financial giant Prudential and subsequently led his office in production in his first year. In 1997 he was promoted at only 23 years old to sales manager where he added recruiting other financial advisors to his resume and built his own team. 1998 would bring a fork in the road though. Kevin left the financial industry to join the ranks of the FDNY as a firefighter. The financial “bug” kept with him however and in 1999 he rejoined the business while still serving New York City as a firefighter. As the founder of Murray Financial Group, Kevin has partnered throughout the years having affiliations with Guardian, Penn Mutual, Lincoln Financial, National Planning Corp, Woodbury Financial and is now proud to join the ranks of LPL Financial. Through the years he has built a financial services firm that provides analysis and advice to over 350 individuals and small businesses. Through all these affiliations he has consistently qualified for different awards with his previous affiliations as well as a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table - all while still serving on the FDNY.
Kevin retired from the FDNY in 2019 as a lieutenant after 21 years of service and as a 9/11 survivor. His experience from his years as a firefighter has envigored him to give back to the community and become one of the financial professionals advising NYC firefighters and police officers on retirement. He currently volunteers with the tunnel2towers organization.
Kevin lives in Staten Island, NY with his wife Stefanie and three children.
